Started in 1993 with beads and trims. Now we design and manufacture flat footwear for international brands.

How We Got Here

1993

Krishna Beads

Krishan Gopal starts Krishna Beads — beads, trims, embellishments. The craft was always there.

1995–2005

Branching Out

Scarves, bags, fashion jewellery. The group learns to work across categories and materials.

2010

First Shoes

The move into footwear. First international brand partnerships begin.

2012

First Award

Government of India “Best Exporter” award. The first of four.

2017

Firkee Starts

Firkee Accessories is born. A dedicated footwear company with its own design studio in Lower Parel.

2018

Fourth Award

Fourth Best Exporter award from the government. At this point it's a habit.

2020

The Factory

Vasai facility expands. Everything under one roof — cutting to packing, no subcontracting.

2022

Design Studio

Launched in-house design studio in Lower Parel, Mumbai — separate from the factory for creative independence. Trend research, CAD, and sampling now happen in the city's design district.

2024

1,530+ Shipments

1,530 export shipments and counting. 8+ brand partnerships active across multiple markets.

03 Our Story
“
We started as an embellishment company. The move to footwear was natural.

We understood materials, we understood craft, and we saw that design was what made the difference between a good shoe and a great one. That's why we built a design studio before we expanded the factory.

Today we design and manufacture from two locations — the studio in Lower Parel, Mumbai, and the factory in Vasai. We work with brands across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Asia.

We're not the biggest manufacturer. We're the one that gets the design right.

Managing Director

Former supply chain consultant. Joined the family business to build something better. Obsessed with operational efficiency. Studied at Humber College, brings a global perspective to how things get made here. Manages client relationships and factory operations.

Founder & Director

Three decades in Indian manufacturing. Started with Rs. 50,000 and a workshop. Now oversees a facility with 200+ craftspeople. The craft knowledge and industry relationships that underpin everything we do come from him.

Trained in design management. Bridges the gap between what designers dream and what factories can build. Oversees design direction and brand partnerships. The one making sure what we design is what we deliver.
